Blaneblade update

Okay so I have started to assemble the model but I have realized something I forgot to do. Gennerally I like to prime the model before I assemble cause there are some hard to reach areas. Along with the primming I do like to do a bit of a rough paint on the internal parts that you can see behind something. Good thing I only assembled one side of it not the whole thing first before I realized it. Anyways I do find that the moldes they do and the hinges used to connect the models do leave much to desire.

Comparing them to other models I have done in the past I do find one advantage is they do paint better than most other models. Updated pics soon.

Baneblade pics

Here is the first picture of the unassembled model kit. Not much to look at now but just wanted to do a before picture to show the sprues.

The second picture is the goodie Forgeworld bits to change the Baneblade into a Stormsword. As with most resin pieces there will be some work to do on the extra bits. Also I have noticed some cracks in the casting but since this was a old and used model can't do a return. Either way this is going to be my entry into the www.gamesummit.ca painting competition.

I am hoping the assembly and sanding will take me the first weekend. The next set of pictures will be a partially assembled and sanded model. Likely will do priming on it and some conversions.

Forgeworld Baneblade Stormsword

Okay for my gamesummit painting competition entry for heavy support I decided to go with painting the Forgeworld Stormsword tank that I got at the last Game Summit in Ottawa last year. Pretty much a Baneblade plastic model with the top being all resin with the Stormshadow variants. I will post pictures of my progress and techniques I will be using.
