So I have had my my fair share of noodle soup over the years and always wondered if I could step up the dish over just opening the package and just cooking it. There are two things you can quickly do to give it more zip.
1. If your dry noodle is separate from the soup base you should cook your noodles in one pot of water and make your soup base with another. Most of the dry noodles you get in those instant noodles packages have a wax on them that can affect the taste. Boiling it first then using clean water to make the soup will get rid off this wax and some of the other preservatives that keep these noodles on the shelf without going bad.
2. Some packages you do get a little package of sesame oil you can use that but another option is to give it a bit of roasted garlic oil. The trick is to have a pan with hot oil and then put in really finely chopped garlic in it. From there you will put the oil with the garlic over the noodles. This will give the dish a nice aromatic taste and likely you will feel more satisfied with the dish.
