So this is the 2nd time this week when I went to Zellers in Ottawa to shop and ended up having to either not take a good or go to customer service for a refund. In both cases they were two separate Zellers. Both places has a item with a clearly marked signed of a new price and discount. The items each time were different. When I went to the cash to pay for the items they ended up registering at the original price not the sale and discounted price.
This time was actually worse. The previous time they changed one item right away at the cash. This time they had stated there was no sale even though I am looking right at the sign and seeing the date still being valid.
I know in the past I have had this happen pretty regularly here. Not sure if it is a unmention policy for them to advertise something and not have the register take up the sales price. At the end of the day it is best just when you are paying for items always to remember what you bought and how much it is and the sales price. If you don't think the price is right state it right away cause you will likely end up just giving the store more profit.
