Well I had a chance to try the Wendys fish burger today and in comparing it with the other fish burgers of the major chains this is he one that really gives the others a run for their money. The fish they used was Pacific Cod which was different over the fish they used at MacDonalds and Burger King. The batter did feel like it probably was made with panko or similar bread crumbs. This is different from the plain batter used at Mickey Ds but similar to what was tasted at Burger King. As for the fish taste I find it is overall better and the least mushy. Price wise it is higher and cheese is extra.
